Last month we celebrated a very special milestone for one of our most valued team members, Sarah Taylor, who has now been with Stelling Properties for six years.
Sarah’s role is a truly unique one, as Office Manager and HR Coordinator, she keeps the heart of the business running smoothly. But Sarah’s impact extends far beyond her day-to-day responsibilities. She is also a passionate wellbeing and mental health advocate, helping to make sure our workplace is not only productive but also supportive, open and caring.
Sarah’s Journey with Stelling Properties:
When Sarah joined us six years ago, she quickly became an integral part of the team. Reflecting on her time here only two years ago, Sarah said:
“I came to work at Stelling Properties over 4 years ago now and have seen the company grow from strength to strength. Being a family run business you absolutely feel part of it, whatever role you play, and the product stands out amongst others and makes everybody feel proud of Stelling’s achievements. I am excited for the future of Modular and Stellings role in it.”
Since then, both Sarah and the business have continued to grow, and her influence has helped shape the strong, people-focused culture we are so proud of today.
A Few Words from Sarah herself:
We sat down with Sarah to reflect on her six years with us, her thoughts on wellbeing in the workplace, and her hopes for the future of modular construction.
Q: Six years is an amazing milestone! Looking back, what first attracted you to join Stelling Properties?
I originally joined Stelling for just two weeks, thinking it’d be a short-term gig to help out. But from day one, I was completely blown away, the product was genuinely impressive, and the owner’s energy and passion was contagious.
It didn’t take long for me to realise: this is somewhere I want to be.
Q: How has your role evolved since you first started
I began my journey at Stelling as a receptionist but progressed quickly into the role of Office Manager & HR Coordinator, where I feel I thrive in looking after employees, organising company functions and recruitment.
Q: You’re also a wellbeing and mental health advocate. Why is this area so important to you and the business?
I’m committed to creating a supportive workplace where mental health is prioritised—especially vital in construction, where male workers are four times more likely to die by suicide than the national average. By promoting open dialogue and wellbeing initiatives, I help employees feel valued and empowered.
Q: What excites you most about the role Stelling Properties is playing in the present and future of the modular construction industry?
I believe that Stelling Properties is playing an exciting and transformative role in the modular construction industry, both now and for the future and something I am very excited about.
Q: If you could give your “day one at Stelling” self one piece of advice, what would it be?
Don’t underestimate the impact of what Stelling’s product can do—or what you can do.
Stelling has given me the platform to truly shine in my role and the opportunity to grow alongside a product I genuinely believe in.
